Launched in 1984 by Marcus Connaughton and Tony Bradfield. Address in Inchicore,

Marcus Connaughton in 1986: "I set up Bus Records so songs I publish can get released
quickly. It is really a service label for my songwriters".
Connaughton began at Polygram in 1974. He left to set up the music publishing
company, Helmar Music, and record label Bus Records. He did PR for Stocktons Wing
and Clannad (during the Harry's Game period) and handled the publishing for Mother
Records.
