Label founded by U2 in 1984, initially intended to help promote Irish bands, but
famously hindering more than one band due to its idiosyncratic release policy.
The label later moved to sign international acts during the '90s and beyond.
The sleeves of the early 7-inch releases were variations on the same generic design.
Some were also available on 12-inch format, some also as CD or cassette singles.
This discography is not exhaustive. I have chosen to omit post '94 releases as the
label no longer specialised in Irish acts. If anyone can fill in any gaps or explain
the odd cataloging system, please get in touch. For such a high profile label, the
gaps in this discography are perplexing.
Mother established a subsiduary Son Records in 1988 for one-off and special releases.

MA 001 Terence (John Creedon) - Que Sera Sera / Que Sera Sera (Over Under Mix) 7" [198?] (PS) Charity single in aid of the People In Need Trust. The label design is a parody of the Mother label. I'm not absolutely sure this is Mother Records related.
