Moving Hearts

From: Dublin ?

Active: ca 1981-86

Lineup:

Bio:

Formed by Christy Moore and Donal Lunny after Planxty. Hugely influential in Ireland.

Brian Calnan (percussion/drums) was replaced by Matt Kelleghan after the debut LP. Christy Moore left after the second LP in 1982 and was replaced by Mick Hanly. Hanly left after "Live Hearts" and the final album "The Storm" was entirely instrumental. Flo McSweeney was occasional vocalist before the band split ca 1986. They reformed and performed sproadically since then.
