Unfortunately no other footage remains from the night of the recording. The
mobile studio hired from Belfast for the event was supposed to be top of the
line, but they brought a limited quantity of one inch tape with them, and there
was nowhere else it could be purchased or borrowed in Cork on that Saturday
night in 1980. Tape was very expensive back then. This meant they had to limit
what was recorded, and unfortunately for some odd reason, the engineers wasted
tape on Open Hearts, who weren’t one of the Reekus bands and had been
added to the bill as a favour. As a result, the 30th Anniversary CD has no bonus
tracks.
