Bio:

Mutant Asylum were a late 80s Dublin punk band. They were formed by Justin (guitar) and Gilly (drums) in 1988, with various vocalist and a couple of bass players over their approx two year lifetime. Justin was the main songwriter.

Mutant Asylum played regularly with Paranoid Visions and were Deko's favourite band of the era. They were supposed to do a split single with Paranoid Visions but unfortunately this never came to pass.

Justin later joined The Prunes in 1990 and plays on the Blossoms And Blood LP as Valley Limberg. He then formed Gormanghast with Gilly in 1993. Gilly also played percussion with Brinskill Bombeat. Cormac (ex The Garden Hasn't Changed Much) played bass during 1988. He is now with Paranoid Visions. Fiachra now plays guitar/mandolin and sings with Paul McGuinness (ex DC Nien/Tokyo Olympics) in The Popes.

A number of tracks are now available on myspace: "Torture/Fluffy Nostrils", "Gas Chamber", "Plastic People", "Rotting Arseholes", "I Drink Tea" and "Who Knows What This Was Called". Just search myspace for Mutant Asylum and you'll find them.
