Adolf J.Rag or Adolf J.Ragg began in the late 1960s or early 1970 as Honeysweet. Bassist Noel Cullen left to join The Urge in 1971 and was replaced by Martin Byrne. The band name changed to Adolf J.Rag.
Reputedly a heavy outfit, reputedly wild and freaky according to some reports, but no recordings exist so who knows... They supported Horslips on at least one occasion.
When the band split, some members merged with ex members of The Urge to form the short-lived Jack in 1973. Singer Robbie Walsh later in Orphanage (1973 version). Guitarist Tony Geraghty later joined the Miami Showband and was killed by Loyalist paramilitaries in 1975.
