SBB Band

From: IRL

Active:

Style: Rock

Bio:

SBB is of course broadcaster Seán Bán Breathnach. SBB presented the first Irish language pop music programme on RTE radio in 1969. He also presented the bilingual arts show Imeall on RTE Television. His moment of greatest exposure was probably his SBB ina Shuí TV show on RTE1 which ran from 1976-82 and featured many memorable performances.

The SBB Band recorded a single for Release Records in 1980 or 1981. Was he backed by The Philosophers on this single? SBB had promoted the band on occasion and both sides of the single are by Philosophers main man Dermot Ward.
