The Malfunctions

From: Ballyshannon, Co.Donegal

Active: 1987-89

Style:

Lineup:

Bio:

The Malfunctions rose from the ashes of The Wild Herrings and featured former members of that band including Fiona Pender (vocals), and Michael Christie (drums). Other The Wild Herrings John Kane (guitar) and Patsy O Kane (bass) may also have been involved initially but the line up above is the one that recorded, with David Meade (guitar) and Stephen Gallagher (bass).

They recorded a Fanning session in 1988 and released their debut single the same year on EMI. They had two tracks on the Nationwide compilation the following year but failed to make further progress. The band regrouped, minus singer Fiona, as Georgia.
