Bio:

The Farran Folk Group formed in Limerick in July 1967. They were a typical folk/ballad group of the era with a repertiore drawn from Irish, English & American folk. They finished second at the 1967 Ballinasloe Folk Ballad Festival. They released an LP on Ruby/EMI in 1970.

Fred Hockedy also played with the Empire Showband. His brother Johnny with a member of Granny's Intentions.
