Style: New Wave

Lineup:

Bio:

Maxwell and Paul McIlwaine left The Tearjerkers in August 1980 approx to form Etc Etc with sometime Tearjerker drummer Greg Lindsay and one Stephen Mallaghan. Citing Ultravox and The Cure as influences, their sound was more New Wave than the powerpop of The Tearjerkers. Howard Ingram joined a couple of months later when The Tearjerkers finally split.

Both cassettes are on Howard Ingram's Blue Rhythm Audio label. Joe Sharpe joined on bass at some point. By 1982 and the "Scanning The Crowds" cassingle the lineup was Maxwell, Ingram, Mallaghan and Lindsay. They split sometime after.

Paul McIlwaine had formed his own jazz quintet who released an LP on Blue Rhythm Audio in 1982.
