Bio:
Legendary Derry punk band formed 1977 who remained active
until the mid-80s and reformed sporadically for special gigs, etc.
Dick Tracy was AKA Domhnall MacDermott who was the only constant
member over many lineups.
Domhnall was famous locally for his extensive record collection
and it's effect on local budding musicians, many of whom played in
the Green Disaster under pseudonyms such as Max Factor, Rape Terror and
Todd Slaughter.
The Green Disaster were an important band in the Derry scene and supported visiting bands
such as The Radiators From Space, Horslips, etc.
They recorded a tape called "Kevin Mahon". Shambolic but very much in spirit of DIY punk ethic.
Domhnall MacDermott died in 1994.
