C60

From: Cavan

Active: 1980-86

Style: Pop Covers Band

Lineup:

Bio:

C-60 were basically a '60s covers band with a few originals thrown in to their set. They played the showband circuit in the first half of the 1980s. They were known as the C-60 Band after 1981 or so. With Brian McCormack, John Hannigan, Norman Breslin & Paul Cox (ex Blue Angel). The sleeve notes on their debut LP were by Fr. Brian D'Arcy, the Smashie & Nicey of the Irish clergy. They split in 1986 when Brian McCormack and Norman Breslin emigrated to the USA.

The C-60 Band is unlikely to draw much attention from collectors. They were once memorably described on ebay as "new wave/power-pop album w/some 60s covers" but basically this was a superior weddings/cabaret/party band.

Paul Cox was later in the Fireflys.
