Bio:
Soft beat group who released one single. The Bats
set off for London in the summer of 1964 with no label support or financial backing and
suffered some hard times. They eventually recorded a single for Columbia with Mickie Most in December
1964. The A-side "Accept It" was written by Burt Bacharach. The B-side was a band composition.
It received a few plays on Radio Caroline but failed to make an impact
and the band returned home.
Note: not to be confused with the South African Bats who moved to the
UK in 1966-67 and released three singles on British Decca.
