At The Window

From: Shannon, Co.Clare

Active: 1983-89

Style: New Wave/Post Punk

Lineup:

Bio:

At The Window -- ca 1983-89, Trio from Shannon active during 1983-89. They recorded a demo in Cure/New Order vein on Donal Fean's 4-track portastudio in Shannon during Easter weekend 1983. This and subsequent demo tapes attracted lots of attention and the support of DJ Dave Fanning.

They were signed by Phonogram Records and made the move to London, but nothing seemed to happen for the band. They made many (demo) recordings for Phonogram, most of which remain unreleased. White labels for an unreleased 12 inch recorded for Phonogram in 1988-89 do exist.

They appeared on Visual Eyes in August 1987 performing 'State Aid' (see you tube link below) and were participants in the Carling/Hot Press competition in 1988.

They split in 1989. Paul Lehane is now a photographer.
