Comet Records began in the early 80s as a Dublin record shop and eventually encompassed a record label, a mailorder business and a second shop in Cork. The label is best known for its compilations of unsigned bands drawn from demo tapes. Run by Brian O'Kelly of The Gorehounds. The Dublin shop closed in 2005.
