Not to be confused with CMB, the Cotton Mill Boys label. CMR stands for
Castle Music Records. It was set up by Donie Cassidy to promote his stable of artists in 1978,
operating out of Castlepollard, Co, Weastmeath. CMR later became CMO: Castle Music Organisation,
and the catalogue number prefix changed from CM to CMO.
Castle Music Organisation was the home of Foster & Allen and T.R.Dallas (AKA Tom Allen).
Mr Cassidy subsequently became a Fianna Fail senator.
