During the 60s and 70s, Bunratty Castle peddled dodgy history to rich American tourists in the form of a medieval banquet complete with mead served by busty maidens and traditional music performances. The music was usually available as a souvenir record. Eventually the Bunratty Castle Singers released a full LP on Dolphin Records. Nowadays Bunratty is probably a 'heritage centre' or 'folk park' or somesuch, and all historical inaccuracies and policitically incorrectness have undoubtedly been purged from the events staged there.
