Bio:
Note: The following facts were culled from www.henrywinter.com, last updated in 2007.
If there are any factual errors, I will be delighted to correct them.
Henry Winter was a drummer who played in a number of bands (details unknown)
and eventually became an in-demand session drummer, who still plays sessions to
this day.
At the same time, he also developed his skill as a songwriter and eventual
frontman of his own Henry Winter Band, and has concentrated on this since 1989.
His online bio claims he's famous in places like Russia and Finland and performs
regularly in front of millions of foreigners (all this is straight out of the
Louis Walsh Book of Management Prestidigitation) at festivals and competitions a
la Eurovision. One such festival is the Gradus Ad Parnassum (Parnassus??)
televisied song contest held in Moscow, where Henry won the Grand Prix in 1991.
Presumably this lead to one track 'Love Is What We're Searching For' appearing
on one of the flexi-disks included in the 5/1991 issue of Russian monthly
magazine Krugozor ('Horizon') and a 3-song EP on the state record label Melodyia
(following in the footsteps of Spyder Sympson and Winter's Reign!). In 1992 he
won another song contest, the 'Golden Orpheus' in Bulgaria, but there do not
seem to be any recordings on Balkanton.
We need your help to correct and/or complete this entry. If you can provide more information about this band, have scans, photos or any other memorabilia we can use, or spare copies of any releases, then please get in touch.
