Bio:
The Rainstorms EP is the third release on the Limerick cassette label Evil Tree Records,
so it's reasonable to assume this band was from the Limerick area.
Whats remarkable about the Tearcollectors is the lead guitar player.
His playing is phenomenal, in a Stone Roses/Levitation/House of Love kind vein, and far more
advanced than the rest the band. The photo on the insert shows a bunch of bumfluff 16 year solds.
Where are they now?
The EP fails to hang together as the songs are a little too diverse in nature,
resulting in a lack of a single band voice or identity. But the songs are all well written and
it's a great indie EP, and would have made a killer vinyl 12 inch, but unfortuntely Irish pressing
plants had stopped pressing vinyl by 1992 and bands were forced to choose between CD or cassette.
Too bad. This remarkable EP deserved better.
