Superheaven AKA Station Superheaven

From: Belfast

Active: 1983-?

Style:

Lineup:

Bio:

With three ex members of Rudi plus Rod McVey. Basically Rudi without powerchords and with keyboards and sax added. Barry McIlheney saw this as a positive move, an improvement on Rudi's "mindless sloganeering and powerchords", commenting on their "refreshing confidence and sense of purpose", adding that their 1983 demo added "soul and sheer celebration to the usual Rudi gut and sensibility". How wrong he was!

The name was later shortened to just Superheaven (article in NME 19 May 1984).
