Bio:
Risky Businessformed in Skerries, Co.Dublin, in 1985 as a trio by
Dave McGloughlin, Clive Hannon and Myles Lally. They became a quartet in
1968 with the addition of Tara 'Taz' Fernandes. The band were active on
the Dublin scene for a number of years. Initially their relatively perky indie
pop guitar sound was slightly at odds with the somewhat bad tempered lead
vocal. A track ("This Is The Way") appeared on the Comet 3 tape in 1988.
The band entered a 'Search For A Star' type competition and reached the
Grand Final, which was held near Drogheda in 1988. DK Mountain of
The Pink Hurts stood in for Fernandes on this occasion.
A second track on another compilation (anyone know which comp?).
They split circa 1989.
Risky Business reformed in 2007 with additional members and continue
to perform to this day.
