Bio:

"Super group" formed in August 1979 following The Dream Dates Tour which featured the Boy Scoutz (with Carol Walters), Fabulous Fabrics (with Mick Nolan) and The Sinners (with Tony Pugh & Bernie Walsh). Nolan was also a Sinner at some point. The name new heroes is a reference to a Neal Adams comic strip.

The practiced for a few months before commencing live gigs in 1980, making some impact. They played all original material apart from some songs supplied by ex Horslips Charles O'Connor. A single was planned for Guided Missile (who released the Defenders single) but this fell through. A tour was organised in February 1980. The band then moved to London for a year but failed to make a breakthrough. They split and returned to Dublin where Nolan, Pugh & Walsh formed Ghostdance.
