Bio:
Instant success with Geffen Records didn't do their credibility much good but
their album is very good (assuming you like actual rock music) apart from the
cover artwork which is mediocre and got progressively worse with each single.
Consistently bad cover artwork and a terrifically bad name (MLF -- whose idea
was that?) probably didn't do them any good in the long run. As a result they
are somewhat under-rated now and their album can be purchased on ebay for next
to nothing. It's well worth a few quid.
Geffen Records rejected the follow up album which remains unreleased. According
to some reports there are in fact two unreleased albums.
Carling/Hot Press Band of 1991; supported Guns'N'Roses on their 1992 UK tour and at Slane Castle.
Derek Maher replaced by Graham Hopkins in 1993. Graham Hopkins later in
Therapy?. Other ex members possibly involved in a band
called Spider Baby..?? (not the San Francisco band).
Notes: Some UK promo copies of the 12inch vinyl edition included an insert which stated that the 12inch edition would not be released [in the UK]. But it was. Another 'brilliant' Geffen marketing ploy.
