Bio:
Pop/rock band. Early demos (3/1984) sound a bit like Dire Straits ("On The Winning Side"). Later
recordings are more reminiscent of Level 42. Billed as Pat Buckley & The Media
by 1987, as the band was essentially Pat Buckley plus whoever backed him. Many different
musicians appear on the Merciful Hour LP. Mullets ahoy!
The Rob Strong Band recorded one of Pat Buckley's
songs "The Distance" released on Vixen in 1986.
Is this the same Pat Buckley who played bass in Limerick band Joyless Eye in 1973-74?

Notes: The original 1987 release had no Vixen catalogue number on
the label. The 1990 reissue is the same pressing with a new label pasted over the
old, this time showing the Vixen number (FM 018). The reissue is credited to The Media.
This coincided with and is consistent with the reissue of their LP the same year.
