Bio:

Heavy rock from Nenagh, outside Limerick lead by Richie Laurence (real name Larry Richardson). His backing band was also billed as Wildlife and consisted mostly of relatives. The band recorded a demo in 1983 which included the tracks "Wildlife" and "We Know It's Not You". They subsequently appeared on SBB Ina Shui the same year (anyone have video of that?) They also played further afield, including Sir Henrys in Cork on 7 October 1983.

Despite a good live reputation and national TV exposure, nothing happened for the band, possibly as a result of a lack of commitment on the part of some of the band members, who still had full-time jobs, etc. Richie/Larry stuck to cover bands and/or trad/folky material therafter. This included the pop/covers/showband called Jukebox which included future Tuesday Blue drummer Ray Fean (pre-1986) and future Toucandance drummer Tommy Brennan (1986-88). Richie/Larry later reverted to the Richie Laurence Band moniker or sometimes the Richie Laurence Squad, but does anyone have this heavy rock demo from the early 80s?
