Bio: Limerick beat group founded in 1966, noted for doing their own original compositions right from the start. Managed by Tom Carmody. Sean Carmody had stints with the Montanas, the Sputniks and the Four Eyes, playing in the UK. Elvio Nardone was born in Detroit and moved to Ireland when he was eight years old. Gerard Costelloe is not the younger brother of Grannys Intentions Jack Costelloe - Jack's younger brother was only 7 or 8 at that time. By July 1966, when the Koni Kats played during the opening week of the Limerick Club A-Go-Go (a satellite of the Dublin club), the lineup had almost completely changed, with only Nardone and Liddy remaining. The band appeared on Pop Show '66 on RTE TV in December 1966.
